Water solubility and slow-release antibacterial properties of cinnamaldehyde-hydroxypropyl-cyclodextrin inclusion

Cinnamaldehyde is not soluble in water, volatile and easy to oxidation. By spray drying method, hydroxypropyl-cyclodextrin (HP-β -CD) is prepared as wall material, and the structure, thermal stability and slow release characteristics of the inclusion are studied.The results showed that when the mass ratio of cinnamaldehyde and hydroxypropyl-cyclodextrin was 1:2, the feed speed was 20 mL/min and the inlet temperature was 180℃, confirming the formation of cinnamaldehyde inclusion was significantly improved and the thermal stability of cinnamaldehyde after embedding.Over time, the bacterial body inhibition rate under the protection of the wall material has decreased slowly, and it has a lasting and stable antibacterial effect.Therefore, the inclusion compound has a slow-release antibacterial effect and better water solubility.
